Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Luis Peinado and I have currently finished Engine Cadet period. I am interested in pursuing a position at your firm as 3rd Engineer, and have enclosed my resume and background information below.   I have previously worked in a LNG carrier as Engine Cadet, for 6 months, also 3 months more in other kind of vessels. I also had the opportunity to work onshore in a company as a development manager in projects. Through this experience leading teams and managing projects and performing quantitative analysis, I have gained analytical, leadership, teamwork and finance.  While I enjoy my work at Reynolds Longboards, I am interested in making a step forward in my professional career and join an this company of the caliber. It is not only the leadership of your company in the field of ships what attracts me the most, but also your commitment to results.   Personally, I believe I can contribute with three things. First, my analytical and organizational skills. I have successfully combined multiple demanding activities throughout my life: evidence to that is that while studying two college degrees simultaneously (Naval engineering and Marine Engineering) and also courses in IESE Business School, I carried on intense social work, such as the organization and education in Esplai Sant Llorenç (like Boy Scouts). Secondly, my leadership and communication skills. I was my class president for 11 years in a row. In addition, in college I was elected president of “Club de Empresa Pedralbes”, taking responsibility of the integration of new residents (30 or 40 per year). Third, my knowledge in the field of gas, as I focused my final thesis in this field in Akademia Morska w Szczecin, with Mr. Marek Matyszczak Ph.D.Eng.
